SUNNY SIDE UP

The whole room was wrapped in vivid yellow light. Suddenly Spring came and then rushed with Summer. A very swollen sunflower, draws a long shadow as if saying a bright morning cheers. The girl, with disheveled hair indicating that her sleep barely escaped her, stands lazily in the kitchen. A stroke of wind, in full green grass scent, caresses her flushed cheek. She grabs an egg and breaks the shell with an easy tap. The shell cracks to reveal a cheerful yellow face, saying, ‘Hello, Sunny Side Up.’ The yellow yolk slides into the girl’s mouth, popping drowsily. She becomes that first stretch in the morning, that barefoot taking off from door step, that smile that resembles full Summer. She felt like anything could be possible that morning.
